Poster Series

So, what about this project?

This project was about creating a set of three posters. Each poster focuses on a different architectural style but works together as a set. The posters needed to include all the text provided and some version of the Ringling College logo.

First Design

For the first pass of the posters, I created the design based on the building’s different windows, each with its own distinct style.

Revisions

After getting some feedback from my peers,
I changed the overlay colors from black to different colors to match the different architectural styles.

In the first version, the overlapping title and window made the design too noisy and difficult to read. I’ve adjusted the title text so that it is cut off once it crosses over the window design. This makes both the design and the title clearer.

Final Design

For the final design, I adjusted the “Avoiding Mediocrity” poster’s window design. The thicker lines help separate the window design from the photo behind it and improve its clarity.
